About me

My name is Dylan Lebensfeld, and I’m currently a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a BFA in Studio Art. I work across painting, sculpture, printmaking, and installation, and I’m always eager to explore new forms like illustration, animation, and design as I think about where my career will take me and the impact I want to make.

Art has always felt like a part of everyday life to me, from advertisements to TV shows to the design of everyday objects and as an artist, I want to add my voice to that world. Growth is a big part of my practice. I’m always pushing myself to step outside of my comfort zone, whether that’s creating a six-foot painting in a week, building large-scale sculptures, or exploring new textures and materials. I use scale, storytelling, and material choices to communicate messages about mental health, the environment, and personal experiences. My goal is creating immersive spaces and continuing to grow as both an artist and a storyteller.
